David Richardson

David Richardson received instruction in watercolour as a boy, learned to draw the figure at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and studied painting at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland.

Landscape has been his primary genre. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States and Europe. He has illustrated books and magazine articles including the first Hunter S. Thompson article in Rolling Stones Magazine. In 2008 he began painting portraits of the characters of Marcel Proust's 'A la Recherche du Temps Perdu' and is currently illustrating a book of tweets of Proust's novel by Patrick Alexander.

Richardson's recent work includes portraits of J. D. Salinger characters for articles by Michael Norris at Literary Kicks.com in New York. Richardson lives in Los Angeles

The artist will be making a new work specifically for the Party Show.
