John Holder

John Holder is a world-renowned veteran illustrator. Specialising in classic pen drawing, John's style is both witty and expressive and has illustrated the works of Steinbeck, Dickens, Evelyn Waugh, Kurt Vonnegut and Henry James.

With a client list that includes The Sunday Times, Saatchi & Saatchi, The Guardian, The Folio Society, various governmental organisations, The New York Times and the BBC amongst others. His works have been exhibited across Europe and the United States.

A man of many talents, during the 1950s John founded the first bluegrass band in Europe. He currently works from his 17th Century Studio near Cambridge and is also visiting lecturer in illustration at Cambridge School of Art.
