Lynn Hatzius

Lynn Hatzius is an artist, illustrator and printmaker originally from Germany. She came to London in 1998 to study at Chelsea College of Art and carried on to complete a BA in Illustration at Kingston University and in 2008 an MA in Printmaking at Brighton University.

A Curious Invitation is the second book fully illustrated by her. She has designed book covers for a wide range of publishers, including Random House, Bloomsbury, Pan Macmillan and Orion. A series of her woodcuts will be accompanying a cookbook published by Chatto & Windus in April 2013. She is currently finishing her first children’s book, which will be available in Germany later this year. Her work has also appeared in publications such as the Guardian and The Times magazines as well as on a number of record sleeves.

Lynn is an active member of the London Print Studio and has been a visiting lecturer in the printmaking department at Konstfack, in Stockholm, Sweden. She regularly exhibits her prints, collage pieces and paper sculptures in group shows across London. Past exhibitions include the Young Master’s Art Prize at Sphynx Fine Arts, The Art of Giving at the Saatchi Gallery, various winter shows at Viktor Wynd Fine Art and The Paper Festival at the BHVU Gallery.
